About me

Are you searching for tranquility and a spirited journey in life? Your hopes can become reality if you are willing to invest time and effort to pursue happiness. My education in psychology has taught me that everybody can lead a full life. I have worked as a psychologist for more than 25 years, and every day I see patients who have lost faith in a bright journey ahead for various reasons. These reasons include trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, behavioral disorders, and couple issues, and many other things. My commitment as a professional is to guide my clients with understanding and compassion.

As a human being, this professional journey has been immensely rewarding. Throughout this journey, I have helped my patients recover and break free from the shackles of some profound personal challenges which are hard to overcome. These personal challenges involve sexual abuse, domestic violence, and LGBTQ issues, among others. If you walk into my office tomorrow, know this – my goal is to help you find courage, dignity, and imagination from within to overcome your existing mental barriers.

My core belief is that we have the legitimate authority and responsibility to decide the course of our individual lives. However, we are in the best position to do so only when our mind is not shackled by unclear, muddy, and impure states of consciousness. In accordance with my beliefs, I practice cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions, offered in a person-centered framework for adults and teens. My specialization in psychological and neuropsychological assessments helps me get to the root of challenging mental problems and barriers and find a permanent solution in both adults and children. I also have a specialization in person-centered play therapy for kids.

Background

I graduated with a PhD in clinical psychology at The National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences in Bangalore, India. I have worked as a licensed practitioner in the United States since 2000.
